Binary Edition

We offer two binary versions of the Dinkum Compleat Libraries:

  1. VC++ Edition, for use with VC++ V6, V7 (.NET), V7.1 (.NET 2003), and V8 (2005)
  2. PC Linux Edition, for use with GCC V3 or V4

Each binary edition consists of:

  1. our fully conforming Standard C++ library, prebuilt to work with either the native C library our our C99 library, with or without debugging enabled (for a total of four prebuilt libraries per compiler version)
  2. all the components of TR1
  3. our library of code conversion facets for Unicode and other popular character encodings
  4. our library of allocators for node-based containers
  5. our portable multithreading library compatible with Boost and Posix threads
  6. our fully conforming Standard C99 library
  7. libraries for all other C and C++ Technical Reports approved and corrected through 2005, including fixed-point arithmetic for embedded C
  8. our full implementation of EC++, the widely used embedded subset of Standard C++
  9. dozens of C locales for all major American and European cultures, for use with our C99 library

If, after using the Binary Edition for a short time, you decide you want to license additional developers, or you want the full source code, conformance tests, and ongoing support, we will credit your license fee toward the more comprehensive Source Edition. (Please note that you need the Source Edition to develop for eMbedded VC++.)
